What contractors say

Real words. Real jobs.

From contractors who price jobs with 10hub, in their own words.

★★★★★

Amazing tool, my guys are actually closing more deals with this.

New Age ConstructionSan Diego, CAContractor

Shown with each customer's permission. Nothing here is invented or paid for.

I was a contractor and a project manager. I handed out the bids, and I know what it costs to price a job from experience alone and hope the number holds. I built 10hub so the number comes from a rate book you can show, line by line, under your own name.

I read the questions that come through this page myself and answer by email.

Who it is for

Built for the trades that price on site.

Five estimators and the permit plan maker on one rate book, and each one speaks its trade's language. If you quote jobs in California, one of these is yours.

General contractors and remodelers

Kitchen and bath from demolition to paint, garage conversions, ADUs and whole-home work, line by line with a finish level. The permit plan maker is available as an add-on.

Roofers

Squares by roof section with waste, tear-off and disposal, product lines from GAF to Owens Corning, and the Title 24 cool-roof and WUI checks done for you.

Painters

Rooms or the exterior to the gallon, paint tiers and colors by name from the brand's deck, a walkthrough checklist, and a printed quote in minutes.

Window and door installers

Replacement windows and doors by united inch across eight manufacturers, story and install pricing, and a floor-plan pad to drop openings onto.

HVAC contractors

Size the load, pick the brand and tier, price the install with Title 24 and HERS costs built in, and hand over a proposal on paper.

Estimators and project managers

Contractor mode on every tool: contingency, sales tax, overhead and profit, the rate tuner, saved estimates per customer, and the customer view to send along.

Priced for Northern, Central and Southern California. Residential work; commercial and out-of-state jobs are not in the rate book.

The tools

Five estimators. One honest price book.

Every tool opens empty and prices nothing until you enter something. Every price is a range, not a bid. Permit plans are a sixth tool, drawn per set and quoted before any work.

The estimators open with the subscription. To see them first, the demo site runs every tool with sample numbers, no account needed.

Where the numbers come from. The rate book is 10hub's own: labor and material unit rates for residential work in Northern, Central and Southern California, one book for all five trades. Kitchen and bath has been reviewed line by line. Paint, windows and doors, HVAC and roofing ship with rates you check and tune on your first job, and contractor mode carries your own labor rate and markup on top of any of them.

The paint estimator

Pick the colors. Watch the price move.

Say the job in a sentence and the rooms are set up for you. Pick the paint tier, then real colors by name from the brand's own deck for walls, ceilings and trim. The quote is priced to the gallon and moves as you choose.

  • Real colors, real names. Hundreds of colors from the paint maker's deck, searchable by name, with an honest no-preview mark where a brand publishes none.
  • Nothing is priced until you add it. Every line starts at zero. No sample scope, no number pretending to be yours.
  • Keep it. Print the quote with your company on it, email yourself the PDF, save it under My quotes, or copy the summary.

What you print

Your name on the quote. Their numbers, line by line.

The print, as it comes out of the tool. The company on it is a sample; yours carries the name, license and contact from your company page.

  • Prepared by your company. Name, license number, phone and email on the print, set once on your company page.
  • Your internals stay yours. Contingency, sales tax, overhead and profit are under your control in contractor mode; the homeowner view shows the same numbers without them.
  • A range, not a bid. Every print carries the likely range beside the working estimate, and the California payment schedule with the deposit cap spelled out.

Straight answers.

What does it cost, and can I cancel?

$79 a month for the first 150 contractors, who keep that price for as long as they stay subscribed, then $350 a month for the whole suite, one subscription per company. Cancel from your account page with one button; access runs to the end of the paid month and nothing more is charged. Within 14 days of your first payment, ask and we refund it in full.

What do I actually get?

Five estimators in contractor mode on one California rate book: kitchen & bath, paint, windows & doors, HVAC and roofing. Each has a 30-second ballpark and the full contractor estimator, with contingency, sales tax, overhead and profit under your control, and a printable quote, proposal or PDF with your company on it. Permit plans are a sixth tool, drawn per set and quoted separately; they are not part of the $350.

How many people can use it?

One subscription covers one company. Your estimators and project managers price from the same account on any device; access is per company, not per seat.

Where do the numbers come from?

From 10hub's own California residential rate book: labor and material unit rates for Northern, Central and Southern California. The kitchen and bath scope has been reviewed line by line; the other trades ship as starting points. Every rate can be tuned in contractor mode, and your own labor rate and markup sit on top.

Can I try it before I pay?

Yes. The demo site runs every tool with sample numbers and no account. Your own account is free to create and is where the subscription lives; the estimators open with it, and the first payment is refundable for 14 days.

Does my customer see my costs and margins?

No. Every tool has a homeowner view: the same numbers without your internals. Price the job in contractor mode, then show or send the customer view.

How do leads and site walks reach me?

Coming soon. Homeowners already price their jobs on 10hub.ai; free site walks open next, founders first. When they do, a homeowner presses Request a site walk and the office hand-picks one contractor for that job by trade, job type and fit — only that contractor gets the lead, with the homeowner's line items. No list, no bidding pool: one job, one contractor. Set up your company page now (the trades you price, your license number and where you work) so you are ready to be matched; only a contractor with a license number on file is handed a walk, and the homeowner will get your name and license number by email before you call.

Where does the rate book work?

Northern, Central and Southern California, residential work. Commercial jobs and other states are not in the rate book, so the numbers will not fit there.

Is the number a bid?

No. Every figure is a price range from a rate book and the measurements entered. You confirm the measurements on the walk and set the final price; 10hub is an estimating tool, not a contractor.

What goes on the printout?

Your company name, license and contact from your company page head every quote, proposal and PDF, so the customer is reading your paper, priced from the rate book.
